Fred Jackson established the ground game, paving the way to a blowout win for the Bills over the hapless Redskins, 23-0, at home.
Ryan Fitzpatrick accounted for two touchdowns against the Redskins on 21 of 27 passing for 262 yards, one pick and one fumble. John Beck went 20 of 33 with 208 yards passing, no touchdowns and two picks for the Redskins.
Jackson was a focal point for the Bills, running at will on the Redskins for 120 yards on 26 carries in addition to three receptions for 74 yards. Scott Chandler was a weapon for the offense, catching two passes for 35 yards with two touchdowns.
The Buffalo defense was the difference in the victory, allowing only 26 yards rushing and 152 passing while coming up with two interceptions. They harassed Beck and the Redskins offensive line with an imposing 10 sacks.
Redskins tight end Fred Davis had a big day with 94 receiving yards.
The Bills will play host to the Jets (4-3) next week while the Redskins play against the 49ers (6-1), also at home.
